Burning man: Sanctuary

Sanctuary is a multi-denominational mobile religious sculpture filled with special effects including lighting, pyrotechnics and lasers. Sanctuary traveled through Burning Man inspiring awe and dancing wherever it went. The fine silt dust of the Black Rock Desert acted as a perfect atmosphere, creating laser visibility for miles. The massive scale of the desert allowed us to use high powered audience scanning lasers that would not be possible in a normal venue. Sanctuary was the first art installation granted an audience scanning permit in Burning Man history. We designed custom filtration systems to keep high-end equipment performing flawlessly in a harsh environment that’s known for destroying gear. We projected Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ animated laser graphic show on a giant dome and the side of a 747 party jet, paying tribute to early laser show masters and providing a special & unexpected experience for attendees.
